JennifersLaw.org (the "Site") is an independent advocacy platform dedicated to judicial and legal system reform. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Site collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you. References to "we," "us," or "the Site operator" carry the same meaning given in our Terms & Conditions, and apply regardless of the legal structure ultimately adopted for this operation.

2. Information You Provide to Us

You can browse the Site without providing any personal information. We collect personal information only when you choose to submit it — for example, when you contact us, share your story, offer to get involved, accept the open debate invitation, or subscribe to updates. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, state or county, the content of your message or story, and any supporting materials you describe or provide. Several fields on our forms are expressly optional, including your name and email address on story submissions; you may submit a story anonymously.

3. How Form Submissions Are Handled

Form submissions are transmitted to an email inbox controlled by the Site operator, currently routed through a third-party form-delivery service and a third-party email provider. Those providers process your submission solely to deliver it to us, subject to their own privacy policies. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, for any purpose, at any time.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit to respond to your messages, to review and (where consented) publish submitted stories, to organize volunteer and support offers, and to send updates to subscribers. If you submit a story, we will only publish it after moderator review, and only with the consent you give at the time of submission. If you asked to be reached, we may use your email address to contact you about your submission.

5. Analytics and Cookies

The Site may use standard analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, which pages are visited and how often. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors. Analytics providers may set cookies or use similar technologies; you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without losing access to any part of the Site.

6. Publication of Submitted Stories

If you submit a story for publication and it is approved, the story — including any name you choose to attach to it — becomes part of the public record of this Site. Please take care not to include information in your story that you do not want made public. We will honor reasonable requests to remove or anonymize a published story submitted by you; contact us using the address below.

7. Data Retention

We retain form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above — including the documentation and advocacy purposes of the Site — or until you ask us to delete information you submitted, whichever comes first, except where retention is required for legal reasons.

8. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted to the Site by contacting us. You may unsubscribe from email updates at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor valid requests consistent with those laws.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to the Site, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures appropriate to a small advocacy operation to protect the information you submit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
